Aim and Scope
Mathematical structure of statistics associated to the generalized entropy proposed
by Tsallis is now recognized not only to extend the framework of statistical physics
to a certain direction but also to have connections with many other areas in mathematical science,
such as information theory, multi-fractal, chaos, quantum group, information geometry and so on.
The workshop aims to elucidate the meaning of the mathematical structure and
discuss its applications from viewpoints of such areas.

The workshop is sponsored by
Research Institute of Mathematical Science (RIMS) , Kyoto University
and
the Ministry of Education, Science, Sports and Culture, Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (B), 18300003, 2009.

final manuscript submission (only for contributors):
Please send your following 2 files to the e-mail: rims2009@sc.sys.es.osaka-u.ac.jp by the deadline: September 30, 2009. See the web site "Preparing papers for Journal of Physics: Conference Series" for the details.

Note that:
All final manuscripts submitted in this volume of Journal of Physics: IOP Conference Series will be peer reviewed through processes administered by the Editors.

FAQ: Can authors extend their papers for submission to other journals?
Yes. The journal's copyright policy states that re-written and extended version of the Article may be published in another journal.
